National Inner Beauty Day was created by Roma Newton, founder and CEO of the connoisseur brand promotion and talent management firm 6Degrees Management, in partnership with National Day Calendar. The Calendar is known as the go-to source for information on national holidays. The Registrar at National Day Calendar proclaimed National Inner Beauty Day to be observed annually on October 7. It’s a special day celebrating the beauty within all of us and the first year of observance was 2017.
We believe everyone has admirable inner qualities that can passionately voice their humanity. But that story is often untold. It’s one that uniquely expresses who we really are as individuals. We also believe our strength lies in embracing that story without filtering it through someone else’s definition of beauty. When our core values are reflected on the outside, we have truly given the world the gift we were born to give. We aspire to introduce beauty and wholeness to a world that may not yet understand its own self-worth. So with a deep desire to bring the beauty within to the forefront of defining ourselves–especially for vulnerable young women and children–we came up with a social change campaign focusing on human trafficking. It’s called the #InnerBeauty Challenge.
The #InnerBeauty Challenge is an engaging social media and grassroots campaign of National Inner Beauty Day. Its aim is to bring awareness and support to this very serious social cause. The project is managed by 6Degrees Management. The Challenge began October 7, 2017 and runs until May 5, 2018.
